Yes, I’m more than ready to slay my business goals for 2020. I thought it would be a good idea to share them, as more and more people are starting their own businesses. I personally love watching business videos on Youtube to get my motivation and inspiration up. Because being your own boss can be harder than you think. You have to make all of your own decisions and sometimes it feels like nothing you do goes right. A bit of positive reinforcement from a fellow entrepreneur can be that little push you need. So here you go, my business goals for 2020! Don’t forget to watch my business goals video on Youtube.

1: Making €10.000 per month
This might be nothing for some and a lot for others. To me, making €10.000 a month is just my first revenue goal. I want this to be my minimum goal to hit in 2020. In 2018 and 2019 I often came very close to reaching this number, but I never really hit it. This frustrated me like you wouldn’t believe, haha! I do know why I wasn’t able to hit this revenue goal, but I’ve been able to fix those things. Also new doors have opened, so I have all the room to succeed making this much money through my agency.
For me making €10.000 means I can easily pay for all of my business and personal expenses. I can do that now, but I’m not able to save and invest as much as I would like to. I’m all about creating multiple streams of revenue, so I can also live a nice lifestyle when I’m old. Financial security is my keyword for 2020. Making more money isn’t about spending it all. Nope, I’m all about the future which I want to be very bright! Making at least €10.000 per month is going to help me get there.
2: Gaining 10.000 blog visitors
Yes, I’m talking about this blog. This beautiful piece of digital data has been my pride and joy for years. I’ve hit 10.000 blog visitors (and more) before, when I was still blogging in Dutch. When I switched back to English, I lost a lot of Dutch followers. Thankfully only to gain back a lot of international readers, but I’m not back at 10.000 unique visitors per month yet. Reaching this number of visitors will allow me to create better content and setup better brand deals. Which will help me get to my revenue goal faster, which is my number one business goal.
My blog is also completely mine. It’s not ruled by algorithms, gatekeepers and monetizers who have something to say about the content I make. Nope! This is all coming from my head straight to your screen and into your brain. The freedom I have on my blog is amazing and I want to expend it. I don’t like to depend on apps like Instagram, Twitter and even Youtube for me to share my content and message. Reaching 10.000 blog visitors will help me pay for expenses to create content and the awesome goodies I have in mind for you!

3: Hitting 10.000 Youtube subscribers
Youtube has been my life since I was eighteen. I love this platform and I don’t think I’ll ever stop uploading videos. Just like my blog, my Youtube channel is such an important place for me to share content and my message. When I hit 10.000 subscribers, I can monetize my channel better. Meaning it will make me more money. This also adds to my first revenue goal of €10.000 a month and creating better content. I have so many ideas for better and more interesting videos, but I just can’t execute everything by myself.
Making more money from Youtube will help me create my very own content team. I will be able to make more videos, post more articles and fun pictures on Instagram. Which is not just for you, although that’s a big part of it. My Youtube channel has always been one of the main ways I can express myself. When my marketing and PR agency gets really busy, I’m the one picking up the work. Which I don’t mind, but it also means I’m able to make less videos. Therefore the Youtube revenue must go up, so I can make more and better content.
4: Build an amazing team
I love being part of a team and I’ve had the privilege to work with a team before. In 2019 my team wasn’t as strong as I wish it was. Therefore, I’m starting 2020 with a clean slate and I’m going to get myself really good team members as I go. Having a team will allow me to get out of daily tasks that keep me away from doing business. I need to be more on the sale side and less on the field. I don’t mind doing the nitty gritty work, but every good entrepreneur will tell you it’s better to get out of it.
In my case I need my team to start creating really nice content. Help the agency clients with small daily tasks, and me with the administrative side of things. Working with a team of professionals has always helped me create better results. As the people I hire are often great experts themselves. Everyone has their own expertise to bring to the table, and I truly enjoy that. I don’t know everything, I’m not good at everything and that’s why I need help. And I love that there are people out there willing to give that to me. So go team!

5: Get a car
I really want a car. I haven’t had one for years because I’ve always worked in The Hague city center. Which is really busy almost any time of the day. Traffic is horrific, therefore many people take the bus, the tram or hop on their bikes. I personally don’t mind traveling with public transportation in The Hague. However, work is taking me further each month. I have to visit other cities a lot, which takes too much time out of my day. Especially when I have to travel with public transportation. It can take up to two hours just to get somewhere!
Getting a car on the business account will be a huge timesaver and that’s why it’s a big business goal. It will allow me to get things done so much faster and you know: Time is money! I’ve done without a car for years now, but it’s starting to take its toll. I’ve been looking into leasing and buying a car, but I want to make the best financial decision I can make. Time to talk to my bookkeeper and/or accountant to see what the best solution would be. But I will get that car, no matter what!
Boom! These are my five business goals for 2020. I am so curious to hear about your goals, please let me know in a comment below. And remember: Every business is unique, so take pride in your own goals and don’t get distracted by the ones other people might have. As long as your goals work well for you, you’re on the right track. My last tip is to write your goals down and put them somewhere you can see them every day. Getting to your goals will be easier if you remind yourself to work on them daily.
Suit up and go get your goals,
Kaya-Quintana
