The summer is coming to end but that doesn’t mean your hair is ready for the winter. After all that fun in the sun, your hair might be a bit damaged. That’s why we are going to explore some amazing Douglas hair care products. Fun fact: I used to work at Douglas back in the day when I still worked as a make-up artist. Now I’m teaming up with them for this article.** So rest assured, I will give you my best tips to revive your damaged hair and I will give some extra skincare tips while we’re at it.
John Frieda Frizz-Ease
I was hooked on John Frieda back in the day and their products are still a favorite of many. When it comes to reviving your damaged hair with Douglas hair care, this is one of the brands to try. I used to go through many tubes of the Full Repair shampoo and conditioner. This combo gives your hair a good boost, especially when it’s a bit dry. As you know, I have very long hair and it needs some extra TLC. Therefore I often prefer using a repair shampoo like this one as my regular shampoo, because my hair can use the extra boost.
My favorite John Frieda products are from the Frizz-Ease collection. Having a mix of straight Asian hair and waves, my hair ends up very frizzy in the fall. Reviving damaged hair may take a while, but anti frizz products can help you make it look better in the meantime. I personally prefer serums over sprays. Especially when the serum has oils in it, like the John Frieda Frizz-Ease nourishing oil elixir. Oils help you moisturize your hair fast and easy, while bringing back the shine you deserve. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Quick tips to revive your damaged hair
Now that you have some awesome products to work with, I’d love to give you some extra practical tips. Reviving your damaged hair may take a while, but you can speed up the process with a quick trim. Most hair salons are sweet enough to let you come in and clean up your bangs for free. A service like this will help you freshen up your bangs and get rid of the damaged ends. As your bangs are always in sight, you might want to get them fixed first. You can also go in for a full hair cut of course, which is my preference for a good boost.
Another quick remedy for damaged hair is using a (oil based) hair mask after a good rinse. My favorite way to quickly revive my hair is to use a thick hair mask after washing. I don’t rinse the hair mask out, I keep it in while my hair is wrapped up in a towel for at least fifteen minutes. My hairdresser always does this for me at the salon, until I realized I can also do this at home. Depending on the hair mask you use, you can use a warm towel to improve the results. Rinse out the mask and use your favorite Douglas hair care products to prolong the results.
Chanel hair perfume
Yes, I know it’s a little decadent. But sometimes you do need to spoil yourself a little bit. So today I want to share a little ‘secret’ trick that I’ve been using for years: Chanel hair perfume. For special occasions like a date or a fun night out, I always use a hair perfume. I love how it softly lingers in the air when I give my hair a little toss. Needless to say, people can remember you by your fragrance and it better be a good one! After doing my hair and just before I walk out the door, I revive my hair with a spritz of hair perfume.
This is a good solution after using hairspray for example, which often has a strong smell you might not like. My Chanel Chance hair perfume hides that smell and brings in an elegant fragrance that suits a date or night out. The best part is that most perfume brands have fragrances with matching hair perfumes. This prevents clashing fragrances and it creates unity in your style. Reviving your damaged hair does not have to go unnoticeable!

Florence by Mills
I think we all know Millie Bobby Brown from her role in Stranger Things. Now we also know her from Florence by Mills, her vegan and animal cruelty free beauty brand. I already love the cute lilac packaging. If you really want to treat yourself to reviving beauty products, you might want to try her Zero Chill Face Mist. This face mist contains rosewater and lavender to give your skin some extra love. You can also try the Dream Dew Moisturizer and the Mind Glowing Peel Off facemask.
The best part about Florence by Mills is that none of the products contain any parabens, silicons, sulfates or mineral oils. Which is perfect when you truly want to revive your skin. Because none of the former mentioned ingredients are actually needed to do so. Florence by Mills is also pretty affordable with prices starting at €14,99 up to €39,99 for the most expensive product which are the Swimming Under The Eyes Gel Pads. Lord knows I pay more for just my eye cream, so I think miss Milly is on to something good here!
I hope you now have some new ideas on how to revive your damaged hair with Douglas hair care. Along with some new tricks and products to give a try. Most definitely let me know which products you love for your (damaged) hair. I personally love to test a lot of products to make sure I find the right combo. It’s basically my favorite thing to do when I’ve just gotten a new haircut or feel like I want to spice things up.
Have a happy hair day and I’ll see you soon,
Kaya
