Oh my lord! When I showed this seventies style striped sweater on my Instagram stories, people butchered it. Most people said: ‘Don’t buy it girl!’ I’m quite happy that I did anyway because this striped sweater by Mango makes me very happy. It’s the perfect piece to wear casual or a bit more business chic. The color palette is just right and so is the fit. I can wear it slouchy or I can give it a French tuck to make it look sharper. As you can tell it’s quite versatile when it comes to the styling options.

I decided to style this striped sweater a bit more casual for this outfit. I took the seventies style to heart with the fringed slouchy boots. Those boots are pretty awesome by the way. I’ve saved these for over four years because I knew they’d come back in style again. I just had them resoled and they’re good as new. They are also very easy to combine with almost any outfit because they’re black. The fringes make these boots look a bit more playfull, which is perfect for a casual seventies inspired outfit.

I kept my jewelry very simple because the striped sweater is bold enough. I opted for some simple gold midi rings and gold earrings by Fashionology. I totally forgot to share my vintage bag that I wore with this. It’s a very simple vintage schoolbag in light brown leather. I decided to go for a brown bag because it matches the sweater better. I also think a brown bag gives it bit more warmth than a black bag. And those warm earthy tones are exactly what I like for this fall and winter.
Would you wear this seventies style striped sweater like this?
