Aaah! I’ve been trying to write an article about something interesting and very valuable for you. I just can’t do it today. I tried, I really freaking tried. For some context: I’m having a really bad week and I feel super uninspired. And then five minutes later I do feel very inspired, but I can’t get the words on my digital paper. FRUSTRATING! Therefor I thought I would share something that always makes me feel better: Music. I consider myself a music addict and I could not live without music in my life. And these songs have changed my life for the better:

- Love hurts
- Wish you were here
- Pardon me
- Anna Molly

- GTS
- Lately
Sabrina Claudio
- Orion’s belt
- Stand still
- That’s why I love you
- Tell me (acoustic)
- Belong to you
- Problem with you

Audioslave
- Drown me slowly

Sixx AM

These songs have changed my life. And yes, my playlist does change every month. However, these songs are always in there and I can listen to them over, and over again. Listening to the same song can turn into a different adventure every time. Music is often made up in layers and if you listen carefully, you can hear different sounds every time. I personally love how certain sounds can make me feel. Whether it’s a dark 808 beat or a soft guitar melody, it’s all so powerful. Music is one of the few things that helps me unload my feelings.

I think that’s why I love writing songs myself. Since I was eighteen it helped me process life and important events. Even a simple and chill mood can be put into perfect words through a song. I mostly like hard rock and hip hop, but I also always have some soulful music in my playlist. I love me some blues, soul and Motown music! It’s amazing how different music genres can make you feel better and it’s amazing to have so much choice nowadays. As we are constantly changing, our music tastes do too. It’s incredible to have so much of it, whenever we need it.
I hope you don’t mind me sharing my favorite songs. I have to be honest and say I just can’t write about anything else today. I don’t want to take pictures of myself, so that limits the subjects I usually write about. And this week was just very, very difficult for me. I will share why that is a little later. I’m currently processing certain events that take up a lot of space in my mind. It’s nothing I can’t deal with, but it is hard for me. Thank you for understanding and I hope that these songs may give you some goodness too. Even though they might not be your regular picks. These songs changed my life, as they make me feel so much better when I listen to them. It’s unlike any other calming tool I’ve ever used.
I hope at least one of these songs can do the same for you. Let me know what you think and if you want, you can follow me on Spotify @KayaQuintana.
