I know, I’m really late to the party. I just never had a need for a fixing spray before. I guess you can understand that I was more than curious to see if the Urban Decay All nighter makeup setting spray could help me out. So let’s see if this product is worth your money.

Pros
I bought a travel size bottle of the Urban Decay All nighter makeup setting spray, and I think it’s pretty big for a smaller version. I already like the price for this item and there is more than enough product in a small bottle. I don’t use this spray every day, so I think I can hold on to this for at least four to six months. The design is sleek and a little urban, as we can expect from Urban Decay. But what about the product itself, does it really work for me? Let me give you some context first.
I use the Estee Lauder Double wear foundation and concealer. I also use the Laura Mercier Secret brightening powder and the Candleglow setting powder. I have a different skin type than most beauty bloggers. My skin is mostly dry with some dry patches or eczema. The main reason for me to buy this product was to get rid of that cakey and powdery look I sometimes have. And yes, the Urban Decay All nighter makeup setting spray does the trick. I’ve noticed that my setting powders settle in a little better and they look a lot less powdery and cakey. Which is exactly what I was looking for. It also seems to prevent my make-up from setting into any fine and dry lines that I may have.
Cons
What’s up with the packaging? Well, I think the spray cap could be much better. The first time I tried this spray, I had the thickest drops of setting spray coming at my face. Needless to say, it didn’t feel nice and there was too much product on some areas of my face. It made my foundation look really weird and a bit blotchy. After trying this spray a few more times, I had to come to the conclusion that I really miss a fine mist. It really annoys me that I have to use weird angles when I want to use this product. I basically have to spray it up in the air and let it ‘rain’ down on my face. Very annoying if you ask me.
The second thing I can’t really confirm, is that it makes my make-up last longer than it already did. My Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation does a great job at staying in place, even when I work out at the gym. Since the weather isn’t hot enough at the moment, I can’t say if it will hold my make-up better in the summer yet. I will of course, update this article during the summertime. But for now I haven’t noticed any of the magical long lasting setting powers, the Urban Decay All nighter makeup setting spray is supposed to have.
The verdict
If you are looking for a smoother looking skin finish, this product is for you. It really smoothes out my fixing powders and it makes my skin look flawless. This spray doesn’t mess up my highlight, blush or contour. Something I was a bit afraid of, because the spray doesn’t always comes out in a fine mist. But I’ve never really noticed any blotchy patches on my skin after using the Urban Decay All nighter makeup setting spray. As someone with very dry skin, fine and dry lines are often a problem. This setting spray also takes care of those and keeps them away a little longer. It really smoothes out my foundation too, which makes my skin look flawless. So yes, I would buy this product again and I do recommend it.
Have you tried this setting spray and what do you think about it?
